In Reply To What are the chances of JB WELD working on cracked plenum? posted by CaptanZap(OK 2 B NA) on February 19, 2002 at 03:29 PM

Message You wont be able to get a good amount of it in a secure place. You should remove the plenum, take it to a good machinist and have it welded up and retapped.

I'm a strong believer of JB weld, I fixed a radiator on my truck a while back with it, lower pipe started leaking and I just cleaned up the brass and filled it all in with JBWeld. Stuff is awesome, but you gotta be able to give it good surface area. You would be better off removing it and taking it to a machinist than to risk JB welding it and having it leak. Small leak will make you run lean at <0psi and run rich >0psi on the other side of the engine..

: cracked the area by the PCV's, replacing my PCV..the passenger side, put JB WELD on it...whats the chance of it working?
